Avery – The Czar Imperial Stout 2007

These ratings and statements are purely my own, of course with beer or even foods, some people will love it, and others will not. So the best way to really know, is to try it. I will though offer you an idea of beers to stay away from, mostly because of the lack of quality from the brewers.

Brewer Rating: A+
Beer Rating: A-

Notes:
I always enjoy a good stout and Avery has done a good job creating this beauty. Being a Imperial Stout you really get kicked in the mouth with FULL stout flavor.

Bottle:
For years, we’ve wanted to brew an Imperial Stout, a really, really, big one. Here it is! Behold the stunning crimson hues through the inky blackness. Inhale the noble Hallertau hops and floral. Savor the flavors, redolent of English toffee, rich mocha, sweet molasses, candied currants and a hint of anise. This tyrannical monster is ready to liberate now, but we highly recommend cellaring additional bottles, as The Czar will continue to mature and become denser and more complex with age.

Brewed with pure Rockey mountain spring water, imported malted barley, German Hallertau hops, and English yeast.
